2050s Another way of existing – Future Nomadic Identity

In the 2050s, the definition of ‘free being’ would be more explained as ‘equality’, and back to the 2020s, we all know people are turned into digital nomads, that was a trend, the culture was being globalization, people’s origin became mixed and blurred, then the ‘origin’ become a new definition of equality.

But how? Tracing our history, one most the reasons that caused inequality is we’re born with differences, this somehow decide our status in society, in addition, the world’s different political landscape and different social structure, further deepen inequality. Now imagine, if you’re born in an entirely new world, when people ask you, where are you from? What would you say, you may answer: I’m from everywhere, or nowhere. Cause origin provides a sense of belonging, which is quite important for human beings, in the future nomadic society, everyone has a very complicated original background, and this might give a possibility for equality, cause everyone surrounds you is just the same.

Then how can we achieve this through a spatial way, what architecture can do for this? In the very beginning, we already get one possible answer, that is the nomadic community, nomadic provide a type of social structure, could achieve equality, also encourage people to bond with each other tight, for future crisis, e.g. climate crisis, digital crisis, it also provides a way, tell us how to face with it – the new origin citizens, liberal digital nomads, a moveable, recyclable way of living in harmony with nature.
